Spring has arrived...

The temperature today is warm and no wind - just a perfect day for venturing outdoors with my camera.100_0669.
First stop is the garden - all we have planted so far are the onions. We have been eating on them for the past 4 or 5 days.

First rose of the season - the wind has been blowing so hard the past few days - so the petals are a bit worn. 100_0678 <
The strawberries are starting to bloom - lost some of the first blossoms to the frost we had several days ago.

Tulips - my very favorite spring flower! 100_0700
We have quite a few hosta plants of several varieties in our flower beds. All are up and looking very healthy. The two small pots in back of picture contain airplane plants - just waiting for me to plant in their summertime home - which is a half whiskey barrel.

Sweet husband just came in and suggested we go fishing...wow - that really means spring time is here.

Wow! It does look like spring has sprung down in OK. Your garden is looking good. Those onions make my mouth water as I love onions....especially those green tops! They are wonderful in salad.

Thanks for showing us to the north what we have to look forward to in a week or so.

I think you're a few weeks ahead of us. We still have plenty of spring flowers, but everything else is only just beginning. Leaves are beginning to show on trees and we still have plenty of tree blossom. My strawberries haven't starting blossoming yet, nor have my onions started shooting. Such an exciting time of year.

Things don't look as pretty here yet, but I know they will. What a perfect day you had.
Be blessed!

Love all of your spring goodness. The onions are great. I would really like to have a garden, if only for my daughter--she is a farm girl living in suburbia on a 1/4 acre lot. We will have to at least get some tomatoes to go along with her herbs.

Strawberries---bring back memories of my childhood. We had a strawberry patch. We will be going to the local strawberry farm soon to get great big buckets of juicy red jewels! Yum.

Those photos are gorgeous. My Nana used to have a strawberry patch in her front yard--I still remember how they felt and tasted! Wonderful!

PS: We've got plenty of strawberries too - if the birds don't eat them first like last year!

I love the pictures! Spring flowers are good for the soul! Spring is slowly arriving here...more storms for this week-end and hopefully that will be the end of them.

Oh, how pretty,,,we are still dreary here in Michigan, I have one tulip that might just bloom this week, and maybe some daffodils? our grass is just now starting to get a green hue, instead of that winter-grey-brown.

thanks for the eye candy!!
