Thanks

Where do I begin in listing all the things I have to give thanks for this year.

First of all, I must say for my Lord Jesus Christ. Where would I be without him and his love and mercy. Daily he blesses me far more than I deserve.

Second - my wonderful loving husband. He spoils me. . . there is no other way to put it - but on the other hand he tells me I spoil him too - we are good for each other and good to each other.

Our children are special - and that includes the grandchildren and the great grandbabies. Like many families we don't see them as often as we would like...and that is for a variety of reasons. We do pray for them daily for their well being and that God would be a part of their lives.

We are thankful for our retirement - we worked hard for many years. Being able to do things with out time constraints is wonderful. Taking a nap in the afternoon is great!

Living in this country where we have all the freedoms one could ever want or dream about is certainly worthy of my thanks this year.

Our health is not the best - but definitely not bad either. With an assortment of pills we make it through the day with little aches and pains.

Our home - yes, even caring for the lawn and garden is a treasure not measured by dollar standards. Growing the flowers and enjoying their beauty qualifies in the thankful area.

Our friends - who tolerate our quirks and silly habits and love us in spite of them.

For all of these blessings of life I am very thankful this year "2008".

Amelia

What a wonderful list of things to be thankful for. I think it's something that we do far too little, count our blessings. It's so easy to take them for granted.

Oh, Amelia you are such a special lady! I think alot of people take things for granted, even myself but I got a wakeup call when Richard lost his job a couple of months ago. Now I always make sure I stop and think about this stuff everyday and Thank God for it all! I am also thankful for having you as a friend!

This was just beautiful Amelia. It certainly made me nod my head in agreement with everything you said, except for the great grandbabies part...I only have one 13 year old grandson. Again, so nice to read. ;-) Bo

I join you Amelia in being grateful for so many things - some of them are big and some are small, but all are gifts from our Father. blessings, marlene
