Well, it has happened now!
All of the Christmas items were moved from the shed to the garage this morning. What a mess with the many boxes, sacks, plastic bins and some just loose items.
Leon started installing the outside things. Pretty much of the time I just let him do it the way he wants. Sometimes it might look like it should be tweaked a bit more - but I let it go. Most of the time though he does an excellent job. We don't do a lot out side though...the old knees just don't allow for much climbing on the ladder now.
I have the tree up and 90% completed...I always do it first as it is not my favorite thing to do. It looks great though - will show a picture probably later on . With the rest of the decorating I would guess I am about 10% done...stuff is scattered all over the dining room floor and table. Here is hoping I can make some headway tomorrow.
The poor garage certainly looks like a tornado just went through it. Stuff is everywhere...it will probably remain in shambles for several days - until everything is where we want it.
This is all a lot of hard work - but I sure do like the finished result.
Just don't want to forget the true reason for the season!

Decorating IS hard work. I don't do much, unfortunately. Just a few things here or there.
Have a blessed weekend!

I love Christmas decorating and when we first moved in here we didn't have alot of extra junk so I had plenty of room to decorate for Christmas! Now 8 yrs later and another kid we don't have room for much other than a tree! I just can't wait until I can decorate in the new house, I have so many decorations!
I can't wait to see how everything looks at your house! I just loved the photos last year!

oh my I haven't even started ,last year was the first year I put up a small tree ,won't do that again ,it just didn't feel like Christmas .Can't wait to see pictures ,you always do such a beautiful job .
I'm looking forward to seeing some photographs. We have never decorated outside, and have cut down on inside now the boys have left home. We don't put our decorations up until the week before Christmas, so I'll post some photographs then.
Hi Amelia...Chaos is a great term for all the Christmas stuff strewn about...decorating is a lot of work...but oh my, the results are worth it! ;-) Bo
I envy your energy. I moved all my decorations to the greenhouse -- hope our 100 degree Oklahoma summers didn't melt everything! (Could mean new decorations this year!). I can't justify decorating until I clean the calf birthing corral first. Maybe I'll just hang the wreaths on the mama cows!
Hi Amelia, yes it does sound like a lot of work, but also that it is something that gives pleasure to so many. I admire all your hard work for each season. Thank you for sharing it. Hugs, FInn
Ho, ho, ho, Amelia got Leon on the decorating go! Sounds like work but fun work! I really like digging out each decoration and the memories that go with each one.
Looking forward to your pictures, last year was so nice. Good grief, has it been a whole year?
