Probably first one that comes to mind is losing weight. I love to cook - which in turn means I love to eat- which then in turn puts pounds on the body. I will just need to burn more calories than I have been in the past. I would like to lose about 15 pounds...I know that is not a lot; but at my age the metabolism doesn't work like it did back in my younger years.
Try some new recipes ~ it seems as if I am in a rut in fixing the same things over and over. I dcn't have any complaints from Leon in what I have been fixing though.
Another thing - try to find the best in each person and each situation. Sometimes I get a negative attitude about people (definitely including family). I know that my griping is not going to change them - so I just need to keep my mouth shut. Only the Lord can change them!
For fun changes - cut back on the number of flower gardens and pots this spring. When all the growing becomes more work than pleasure it is time to step back, reduce the work load, and "smell the roses" so to speak.
As for my quilting, I would like to increase that some. Perhaps expand to some new type patterns. I don't have any in mind right now - but approach my fabric stash with a new idea.
Two things I will not change is to continue maintaining the library at church. Also I enjoy (even though it is hard work at times) helping with the funeral dinners. Perhaps add something else, but not sure what at this time. Just will let the Lord guide me as to what he has in mind.
Well, this is day 1 - just will wait and see how things stack up on day 365 of 2008!

Those are some great things to strive towards! I am going to get back to my Weight Watchers tomorrow to try and get the last 20 pounds off!
I decided this past year to not put out as many flowers and pots. No one sees my back deck and I don't sit out there to enjoy it so I didn't put any flowers out there. I still enjoyed the flowers in the front yard.
Good luck to you!! And Happy New Year! :)
Sounds like you really know what you want out of 2008. I don't even think about losing weight anymore, I know that I am somewhat over weight, but I do enjoy eating with the family and we do eat ALOT. But for some odd reason I am the only one of us that is over weight. Richard says it's my thyroid problem, maybe I can blame it on that too. I would like to loose about 30lbs, but I just don't have the extra energy to do it.

You've got a great list. It was nice to see someone write that they wanted to continue an activity. Great job!!
