On the road again...

This is a picture of both of us - taken at Christmas time. I still look the same - Leon has grown his beard back though.
This past Friday Leon went in to take his annual physical required to continue driving the "big trucks" (this photo is one of his employer's trucks). He passed all the aspects but the glucose level was too high. He had not eaten anything that would have caused it to go so high. However, stress can elevate your level. Stress is one thing that Leon encounters on a daily basis. He had already put in just less that 50 hours of work and he had not even worked on Friday yet.

Needless, to add this was a not an exciting weekend- not knowing if he would be able to pass when he would take the next test. Did not do any cooking - we just ate Weight Watchers frozen dinners. With those we knew we could control the sugar portion in the meals. Not being able to cook for him - even what I think is "good for him" foods gave me an empty feeling. I love to cook and having people enjoy the food is something I really enjoy.

Now the good news---he left the house early this morning---drove to Tulsa---went to the Clinic---took the test. He passed!

Yay! Congratulations! I'm glad he passed. But now I'm going to have "On the Road Again" stuck in my head all day.

Don't you love hearing 'stress' as a cause of something? So try stressing less, they say. Yeah, thanks Doc! Glad he's back to normal!!
