Visiting Fowl

These turkeys have been coming around the house a lot this year...they enjoy the bird feed we put on the ground for some of our birds.

It won't be long until the hens start nesting and we won't see them until next year... if it is like they did last year.

At one time there were 31 total...8 toms and the rest were hens.

No, we don't allow any hunting of these birds - just in case you were wondering.

The different colors on the toms are so pretty...especially when the sun is out. Those studly toms strut around and are funny to watch at times.

Oh my how amazing! They are beautiful.

My Mother-in-law says the same thing about her flower beds. They are becoming harder for her to keep but she still loves them and works them.

Oh my goodness, they are beautiful! I've never seen that many wild turkeys in person. How fun. I'd be feeding them too. :)

Wow, a flock of wild turkeys!!~ Just beautiful! I am not a vegetarian but I sure consider it when I have to associate a living creature with the food I eat. Turkeys are so beautiful! I love that beautiful one with its feathers are spread. Thank you for sharing!

Look how BEAUTIFUL they are!!! I'm so glad you don't allow any hunting. I would LOVE watching them. I probably wouldn't get ANYTHING done when they were around.
