One of God's Blessings

Follow me as we go through this door... This door is at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City.

This is what was behind the door - well as of this past Monday. Granddaughter Amelia was born at 3:28 in the afternoon with a weight of 7 pounds even and a length of 19 inches. Just the perfect size and length to love and cuddle. Easy delivery for her Mother (my daughter Holly) and her Daddy (Tony) handled the Father - onlooking role quite well.
This was taken Tuesday all snuggled up in my arms. Not much better than this!

Wednesday and the three arrived home.

Little Amelia made the trip home just fine in her car seat.

Such a wonderful picture of the three of them...happy and tired! Now the real work begins for the next 18 or more years.

My thanks to God for them and grandson Max (who was at daycare at the time).

Congratulations to you and your family. How exciting - and what a wonderful choice of name! Do they live close to you so that you can be a hands-on grandma?

They do make a lovely family. And how lucky they are to have such a wonderful grandmother. I can't wait to meet L.A. the next time I'm in town.

Congratulations! I have a daughter whom I named after my Grandma! I love picking names from the family. My Grandma is the kind everyone wants! Amazing woman! I hope it gives my daughter someone to look up to. Makes me cry just writing about it now. I'm happy to hear of others who do the same kind of thing. It must be neat to have a Granddaughter named after you...you must have done something right!?
