Still some more ...Christmas decorations

This series of pictures just about wraps up the majority of my decorations. I am already thinking about how I would do some things different next year. I probably should make myself a note and pack it away with the decorations - as I know I more than likely will not remember a year from now. Some times I have difficulty in remembering what happened yesterday...guess just a sign of growing older. This is the mantel - some what different than last year - but not much. This wreath was a wedding gift - I still like it after all these years.

This is on the north side of the house. See the metal - that is a cattle panel - 4 foot wide and 16 foot tall. In the summer a wild grape like vine grows profusely on it...in fact I cut it back to the ground each year and then by the end of summer it has grown higher than the panel. This huge wreath is one I made several years ago...it is 4 foot wide and 4 foot wide...lots and lots of greenery stapled on a plywood base...decorated with balls and lights. With the star and this wreath shining at night the complete side of the house is lit up.

Front porch - complete with the leaves I should have raked before picture taking...Leon made the box for the tree earlier this week. He was wanting something to create in the garage so I suggested this. Sure makes the tree look better...a tree skirt on an outside tree just doesn't have much appeal. This was our old inside tree...was getting rather worn - but will look great outside for some time. Will need to look for some more large decorations to go on it. It will have to be large so you can see from the road (if you slow down and not drive 110 mph up and down my road- Not you Lisa, or Sheri or Melba - just those other yahoos on my road).

This is on the side table in the dining room.

Side table and mirror...I have since added a large bow to the mirror...looks much more complete now.

Entry way - looks like the bears are about to fall off...guess it is too crowded there.

I certainly have enjoyed the decorating this year...not that many people will be here to veiw it...but I see it daily and am pleased with the results (at least 90% anyway).

I feel so blessed that I have the energy, money and motivation to do this...thank you, Lord!

It looks wonderful, Amelia! Thank you for sharing it with us. I might not decorate much, but I sure enjoy looking at everyone else's efforts.

Everything is so elegant. You could have a job as a decorator! I really love the candle holders on the side table, very striking.

Ok, half of my stuff is still in the garage, I need help!!! (in the form of a kick in the seat of the pants!)

Your house must look so warm and cosy and so Christmassy with all these wonderful decorations up. I love the amount of greenery you have used. We're still recovering from the 'tinsel years' when the boys were young and wanted everything gaudy and shiny. We don't use those decorations now, but haven't really replaced them with much else. This year it has been great to make so many new decorations.

Amelia, Everything looks beautiful! So warm, inviting, and festive! I love the tree in the container on the front porch! Very pretty!

I laughed when you wrote you might change things up a little next year. My decorations are different every year, cause I can't remember what I did or where I put certain things the year before, so alot of it is "recreated and repurposed!" LOL! ~hugs, Rhonda :)

Hey girl...everything looks beautiful....I love how you put your tree on the porch in that big wooden box...it looks like one of those big fancy evergreens that people plant in wooden planters to go on the side of their doorways! I want to thank you girl for remembering me & I praise God for lifting that burden and for praying friends like you..Merry Christmas to you & yours dear friend!
