My Quilting Helper

Of my three cats, this one requires the most attention. He is the baby - years wise- but he is the largest - weight wise. His name is Tramp - because of the way he came to us.

As you can tell, when I am in the sewing room he has to be there and watch very carefully as to what I am doing. Doesn't make him any difference if he is in the way or not. I suppose he just thinks that is my problem. He also enjoys stretching out on the ironing board...especially just after I have finished pressing something. Having a warm place to recline is just wonderful to him I guess.
I know that cats can be a pain at times...but they are still so lovable.

I have a cat in my sewing room most of the time and she also loves my ironing board. Mostly I think she just likes sleeping in there because she likes being near me. For Christmas, my sister gave me a cute wall hanging kit that features a cat in the sewing room. Purrfect!

Your cat is beautiful and I'm glad he's found a spot just for him.

Your kitty is adorable. I have a large dog and he has to be right where I'm sewing. Of course he can't get up on the ironing board but if I lay a quilt top on the floor to look at it he's the first one on it.

My husband never wanted a cat, said he didn't like them. Then we got Paris and guess who really enjoys her? Cats and quilts just seem to go together. Tramp is one lucky, beautiful kitty!

He is such a beautiful cat! Donkey stays right with me when I sew, sometimes I worry about him sticking his paw under the needle. I really have to say, these little critters are very loveable!!!

Lovely cat. Smart to stretch out on the warm, ironed place! I too have an animal helper/quality inspector!

I have a very similar photo of our Cookie on my ironing board. I have to remember to put the iron on the floor, otherwise he knocks it off.

My Jasper (who looks very similar to your Tramp) is my quilting buddy. He also loves to perch on the ironing board. Tramp is adorable.

No perks in MI for us senior folks. Neat idea. A kitty will always find the warmest spot. Mine used to lay on the heat register and got really hot. Now I have a doggy that occasionally soaks up the sun.

My little dogs just love to be in the middle of things here, too. Max tries to sit on my lap while I am at my machine and Maisy loves to sneak into the pictures with quilts that I lay out on the floor!

I just love orange kitties. I am sure he is good company while you quilt, even if he does get in the way sometimes! :)
