This picture was taken November 21,1974 on the day we brought Holly home from the hospital. She is nestled in the arms of her Grandmother Geneva.
Even though Geneva was my stepmother we could not have asked for a better person to be a grandmother. She never had any children of her own - but that did not stop her from loving my sister and me just like a mother. When it came to her grandchildren (the two of them) they could do no wrong.
Being a Mother is wonderful (most of the time) but being a grandmother is something very special.
Holly will celebrate her birthday in just a few days - my how the time has flown. Seems like it was just a short time ago she was the age of Max.
Happy Birthday to a dear wonderful daughter - it pleases me to be able to be a grandmother to her precious son.
