"The Serpent"

Many times Leon and I have referred to our yard as our "Garden of Eden" the Lord has allowed for us have here on earth.

Several days ago when I was getting ready to do some work in this flower garden I came across something that does not belong in our Paradise Place.

I ran to get Leon and told him to get his gun ready for this invader...and I grabbed the camera.

100_4025 Just as Leon got there the snake had completely went into the bird house...Leon took aim...and fired...two things destroyed - snake and birdhouse.

Perhaps this was not a poisonous snake - but I don't like them in our area....as they give me the cold chills...not that I am scared silly of them...they just make very uneasy.

The "serpent" is gone - our Watkins Garden is again a pleasurable place to visit.

EEEEEEKKKKK that one is BIG!! Oh, I know there are some snakes that are supposed to be good, but we don't like any of them and they are killed if they get into our yard too! Alan killed one the size of a pencil yesterday. He probably would have freaked out if he saw yours!!!!!!!!!

Oh my golly gosh, what a large snake. it gives me the shivers just looking at the photograph. I think we're so lucky not to have snakes that size in the UK, and only the one poisonous snake that's so shy that I reckon 99% of the population have never seen one.

oh, I can't even stand to look at it. Oh my! Everyone I know seems to be getting snakes in their yard.

Glad Mr. Leon was able to do away with it. I'm with you---it doesn't matter if they are poisonous to me either. My dad catches them and carts them off to his pasture. Ugh.
