Up-Date

No particular reason for this picture other than it brings a smile to my face!

Over a week since I have posted. I do swear the older I get the quicker time passes by.

Have I accomplished anything worthy in this period of time. Well, maybe some days and then other days zilch.

A couple of days I spent at Holly's house helping her get ready for a up-coming garage sale she is having. Did a lot of holding and loving on that new grandbaby. My car was still in the shop so Leon took me and then came and got me.

The car is now out of the shop...they told me three days! They had it for a total 10 days. Did not make me very happy with the situation...don't know if I would recommend them to anyone else.

One day I was just lazy...did not do much of anything all day long...did not feel bad physically - but was just drained. Just did not have any get-up and go to speak of.

Did finish the piecing of a new quilt..one with Hexagons...quite an ordeal...perhaps I will make another one but certainly not next quilt. I cheated and did not stack them ...just made side by side...I knew they would not match in the stacking process - so did not even attempt it.

During the course of these days did laundry, cooked and cleaned house...but those duties are an on going thing, right?

Did work out in the flower gardens a bit. Weather has been so crazy here in Oklahoma. Remember we had those days of 80's...then this past Thursday we had sleet, snow and rain. All of this in a short period of time. Of course, the temperture dropped way down.

Did not go to church this morning as Leon was feeling bad and I hated to go off and leave him. He is better now - so will probably go to evening services.

My plans for this up coming week has not been determined yet. The weather is predicted to be warm - so may do some more work in the yard. One thing will be to determine which flower pots I am keeping and which ones I am getting rid of. I have decided to not put flowers in each and every pot this summer...too much work with all the watering.. But if I see those empty pots sitting there in the yard I will stick plants in them. So my plan is to hide them somewhere...oh no I won't throw them away...too much money involved. At this point I just want to keep the big ones out.

Have a wonderful week...look for fun in unexpected places!

Sounds like you have been fairly busy with life in general. Glad Leon is feeling better. Sounds like you got to spend some wonderful time with the new baby. I know what you mean about the weather, one day is was 80 degrees and the next we got 5 inches of snow! Can't wait to see your new quilt!

Weather is crazy here too. Up and down...up and down.

Take care....and take care of DH. Hope he feels lots better.

I think how you have been feeling has been going aroundd. I have had days my body hurt so badly, and other days I was just exhausted. I think that darn barometer had a lot to do with it.

Glad Leon is feeling better and glad you had time to cuddle that new baby.

Have a wonderful, wonderful week.
Be blessed!

This time a year before spring really gets here is hard because the weather is such a teaser. I get restless and then lazy wanting to go outdoors but can't do much in the yard just yet. Fortunately I have the birds now to keep me entertained in between work and play. :)

It sounds like an excellent balance of work and pleasure to me *VBS*
I wish our weather was to the pot filling stage, but that lies off in the distance. I am managing to keep busy and find happiness all around me. Enjoy that baby! Hugs, Finn
