Do you suppose...

Do you suppose that I could convince my sweet husband to share the garage for awhile.

My thought is to bring all the Christmas decorating stuff from the storage shed and put in the garage. Go through it at my leisure and sort what I want to use...what I want to get rid of...what to just throw away.

I could make my arrangements - or least part of them - I know some have to be made in the location they are to remain. Adjust the branches on the tree...see which decorations need to have the lights replaced and the list goes on and on .

Then when Thanksgiving is over - I can pack up all my fall decorations - put them in the storage shed.

Then move the completed (or almost completed) Christmas things in the house.

This thought just came to me...so will have to figure out how to implement "thought to actuality".

Girlfriend~ You sound like you have a good plan thought out. I on the other hand, jump in with both feet...make my house a total mess ...then stress. Maybe I should stick with your plan. Only problem is I think Im too late. I have made my mess.. You should have posted this yesterday, hehe!

Sounds like a fine idea. I am going to do somethihg similar in the basement. I need to go through and choose the Christmas things I will continue to use and send the rest to the Goodwill. I should have done it BEFORE I moved!

I'm sure your sweet hubby will share his garage!! I have to large storage buildings and most of my Christmas decorations are in the back and I can't get to them, I have a few stored in the house, I will probably just use them, since I don't have alot of extra room anyway. I will probably just end up putting the tree up and that is about it. But when we get the house done, I will have tons of decorations to use!!!! Can't wait to see your Christmas decorations, last year your home looked beautiful!!!

At my house, I would bake a pie or cake, then ask for the garage space! LOL The old way to a man's heart is through his stomach thing.

Sounds like a good idea, I have been little by little every year getting rid of "tacky" decorations. Even though you use them for a short time each year, they need to move on.
